American Mediation Services, Inc. and the mediator intend that all mediation sessions are in the nature of settlement conferences and are confidential and not subject to disclosure. The mediation sessions are subject to the provisions of the Illinois Uniform Mediation Act. |

| American Mediation Services, Inc. and the mediator will keep all information provided in the mediation process confidential, and will not reveal any information obtained in the mediation process to any outside individuals or organizations unless the mediator deems such disclosure helpful to the mediation and the parties to the mediation concur in that disclosure, with the following exceptions: a court or statute requires otherwise or there are serious allegations of child abuse; threats of physical harm or actual physical harm to a person. Unless the parties agree otherwise, the mediator will not hold information confidential between the parties and will be in contact with the parties’ attorneys. The parties will use all information revealed in the mediation process only for the express purposes for which the mediation process was undertaken, that is, to resolve the conflict(s) between the parties. |
